On Poachers and Literature and Dr. Grande
Updated: Jan 13
While I wasn’t a big fan of Delia Owens’ best selling novel, Where the Crawdads Sing, I have read her other books over the years with great interest…especially Cry of the Kalahari. I’ve also watched the unfolding drama of Delia and her husband Mark’s real-life obsession with poachers in Zambia. How could I not? It‘s about a pushy couple who knows what’s best for everyone in all situations, an unsolved murder, critters and…you know, Africa!
However, Dr. Grande’s dry delivery and tongue-in-cheek analysis of the Owenses‘ sharp elhows had me in stitches. Long live Dr. Grande!
