The Roubidoux Writers Society has decided on a group project for our members. We will be doing an anthology of short stories, poetry, or whatever you chose to write. Maximum word limit will be 5,000 choice, loaded, and flavorful words. Any topic you care to write about that you would enjoy seeing in a book under your byline.
Why are we doing this? The project is to help new writers who lack confidence in their writing become a published author. We hope to supply tips, training aids, and other helpful ideas for the for the new authors. We also hope to include them in the ongoing publishing process as we work with a local printing company to complete the book.
The Roubidoux Writers Society is a chapter of the Missouri Writers Guild, and we are based out of the Waynesville/Ft. Leonard Wood area in Missouri. We are an informal group with no dues to pay. The only requirement for joining us is a desire to write. We hold regular meetings and have been known to Zoom the sessions on request.
