Sal: A Tale of Many Feathers

A charming Goffins Cockatoo is birdnapped from his jungle home and through a series of events, ends up in Pittsburgh living with the author. Sal is a large personality -- and his adventures show his intelligence, diligence, and out and out sense of fun. While the author obviously loves Sal and tries to do everything she can to give him a healthy and happy life, she warns of the harm done to wild animals who must live in captivity -- especially birds. A quick amusing read with an important underlying message.
